06/14/04 - Family settles lawsuit in tragic death of relative who was killed while riding as a passenger in taxi
On November 12, 2002, Bryant Pendleton was a passenger in a taxicab operated by Central Taxi Service. The taxi traveling northbound on I-95 in Broward County was struck by a tractor-trailer operated by Midnight Trucking and a second tractor-trailer owned by Victory Trucking. As a result of the crash, Bryant Pendleton was burned to death.

Susan Orkies, her husband, Daniel, and two daughters Michelle and Sheana were traveling on 1-95 just north of Savannah, Georgia in Jasper County, South Carolina on April 19, 2003. Susan was driving the family's 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4x2. She and her husband were both seat belted in the front seats with Sheana and Michelle in the rear seats. Little did they realize that their world would change forever on this April day.

On Sunday, December 9, 2001, John Regaled was driving his 2000 Chrysler, Concorde, LXI 4-door car. He had two passengers in the vehicle - Sandra Bohem, seated in the right front passenger seat and Ludy Ragaldo Galiani seated in the right rear passenger seat. All occupants of the vehicle were using their restraint belts.

12/09/03 - Suit settled against Chrysler - Design defect in 15 Seat Passenger Vans
On August 17, 2002, Symadia Ingham was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 - 15-passenger van that she had rented from Thrifty Rent-A-Car. Traveling north on the Florida Turnpike near mile marker 155 in St. Lucie County, the van suddenly and unexpectedly went out of control, rolled over and its roof collapsed. Ingham suffered severe and permanent injuries that have left her with horrific scaring and in constant pain.

William and Mary Gorby were seat belted and traveling in their Dodge Ram Van when they were suddenly and unexpectedly struck in the rear by another vehicle. Immediately upon impact, the van's fuel system failed and the vehicle exploded in a burst of flames.

On the morning of October 19, 2000, Coral Springs resident, Nadine Brailsford, was doing her weekday morning routine, starting the day by driving her young son, Corey to preschool. Nadine was driving her 1998 Nissan Sentra. Corey was seated in the center rear seat wearing the lap belt only restraint. The center rear seat did not have a shoulder belt.

It was another normal working day on October 31, 2001 for Fremond Jean Baptiste, John E. Mackin, Jr. and Charles H. Peirre-Louis, all employees of Environmental Care, Inc. of West Palm Beach. Peirre-Louis was traveling north on the Florida Turnpike with his passenger, Baptiste, following colleague Mackin and another co-worker in company - leased Ford manufactured trucks.
