Lupo Ricci Charitable Trust Makes Donation to Mothers Against Brain Injury, Inc.

January 14, 2009

WEST PALM BEACH, FL - Attorney Edward M. Ricci , co-trusted is pleased to announce that the the Lupo Ricci Charitable Trust, has made a donation to the Mothers Against Brain Injury, Inc.'s (MABII) "Totes of Comfort & Hope" program.Totes of Comfort & Hope

The large reusable canvas tote bags contain useful tools, comfort items, personal toiletries, information on brain injury, and stories of hope and encouragement from others who have shared the experience. The totes are assembled by individuals who have either experienced a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or are the family members and caretakers of those that have had a TBI. The totes are packaged and kept at 24 participating trauma centers throughout Florida; where they are distributed to an immediate family member of any person suffering a moderate or severe TBI—within the first 48 hours of arrival.

The "Totes of Comfort and Hope" program was established by MABII founder Tracy East-Porter whose own child suffered a severe brain injury, in 2004. Tracy recognized that other families were going through the same experience and that there was a need for assistance and support that was not being met by any other agency. As a result, she created the "Totes of Comfort & Hope" Program, a unique and compassionate way to provide comfort to families through a trying time and difficult experience.

MABII, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Florida non-profit organization created in 2005 out of compassion and empathy for families experiencing the sudden and unexpected news that a loved one has suffered Traumatic Brain Injury. To learn more about MABII call 866-604-6222 or visit their website at www.mabii.org.
