Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Recall - Tread Separation ConcernsBridgestone/Firestone North America Tire has issued a recall of about 127,183 tread/belt tires because they were produced with insufficient tread base gauge. Continued use of these tires could lead to vibration and groove cracking and ultimately lead to tread distortion or tread separation, and loss of vehicle control. The tire recalled: brand name is Firestone, the tire line is the FR380, and the tire size is P235/75R15. The tires were produced from September 9, 2007 through July 2, 2008. They are commonly used on light trucks, pickups and sport utility vehicles. My firm served as co-counsel in the 2000 National Ford Explorer/Firestone Tires class action lawsuit, where we vigorously pursued economic protection of owners of Ford Explorer and Firestone products.
